Date: Saturday, October 4, 2025
Time: 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Location: 3602 W. Fillmore St., Phoenix, AZ 85009
The Phoenix Food Forest Initiative invites you to “Plant Roots, Grow Futures” at our fall planting and neighborhood revitalization event. Volunteers will help expand our urban food forest by planting fruit trees, shrubs, vines, and groundcovers; building soil health with compost and mulch; installing stone pavers; and maintaining existing trees.
Activities include a youth seed workshop, community cleanup, and garden storytelling with neighborhood elders. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, along with music, raffles, and educational booths from local partners.
This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring a water bottle. Tools and supplies will be available on-site.
Partners: Growing to Give, Urban Farming Education, PermaScaping, Grand Canyon University, Arizona Diamondbacks, City of Phoenix, Local First Arizona, and more.
