Webinar: Learn About Land Trusts

The state of Arizona has some beautiful wide open spaces, from grassy ranch lands to serene deserts, and iconic mountains to rolling rivers. There is an entire magazine devoted to showing off Arizona’s scenery with readers across the globe. But with a growing population, a lot of thought and planning needs to go into making sure these lands are preserved to provide recreational opportunities, habitat preservation, scenic views and continuation of the state’s heritage of farming and ranching. Land trusts are one of the tools in the toolbox that can provide protection to the land.

Join us for a webinar with Liz Petterson, Executive Director of the Arizona Land & Water Trust, to learn how land trusts function and how they assist in keeping open space open. Liz will speak to the work of land trusts, what makes them unique, how their work is funded, and how they may assist communities to protect the important landscapes that add to our quality of life in Arizona.

This webinar is an educational initiative of the Coalition for Farmland Preservation, a program dedicated to preserving farmland in Maricopa County and beyond. It is free to attend and open to all.
