Are you currently farming or ranching, or are considering to start?

Join us for two full days of workshops, hands-on demonstrations, field trips and networking opportunities to answer many of your questions, improve your operations and share tools and resources. Workshops include business planning, social media, marketing strategies, governmental resources for farmers and ranchers, policy making, agricultural labor and apprenticeships, and best practices for farms and ranches. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the traditional Native American crops and agricultural techniques, and Sonoran Desert-appropriate range management. A special track of youth-focused workshops will be organized for high school students. The second day will offer three field trip options to a Dryland Farm, a Ranch or Saguaro Fruit Harvest.

The event is open to all interested in growing, processing, selling and buying food, including consumers, educators, home gardeners, chefs and community organizers.

Snacks and lunch will be provided for the attendees on both days.The registration is free but necessary to secure your seat! Donations to the event are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Limited amount of scholarships is available to help with the cost of travel and lodging to students (high school, college, graduate students), beginning farmers and ranchers (have been in farming for less than 10 years), young farmers and ranchers (under the age of 35), and/or those from socially and economically disadvantaged groups (Native American, immigrants, refugees, veterans, female, low income).
