Successfully Placing Maya’s Farmland into a Conservation Easement

We’re excited to announce a major win for farmland preservation! The first urban agricultural conservation easement for the land that Maya's Farm sits on has been successfully completed and preserved as farmland. This has been an amazing collaboration between City of Phoenix, Central Arizona Land Trust, Bridget Bellavigna (landowner), Maya Dailey (farmer), the Coalition for Farmland Preservation, and Local First AZ.

The groundbreaking accomplishment reflects the City of Phoenix's commitment to preserving our local farms– which feed healthy, fresh food to our communities– and all the people dedicated to making it happen.
