Local Food Purchasing Program Manager, Pinnacle Prevention

Parker Filer grew up in the backyard gardens of his parents, grandparents, and extended family in western Pennsylvania. He began studying plant science and food production at Yavapai College in Prescott, AZ in 2001—later earning a Bachelor of Science in Plant & Soil Science and a Masters Degree in International Agriculture & Rural Development. He has been fortunate to work with farmers and farm workers in the United States and abroad on a variety of food systems issues.

Parker currently serves as the Local Food Purchasing Program Manager with Pinnacle Prevention’s “Purchase Local AZ'' program.
