What is Buy Local Month?

Buy Local Month

Local First Arizona’s Buy Local Month celebrates the importance of buying local for the holidays through a month long social impact campaign all across Arizona. From November 27th to December 24th, 2015, all Arizonans have an opportunity to give unique gifts to loved ones while keeping money in the local economy to build vibrant communities. Buy Local Month encourages people to purchase from local businesses during this time, rather than solely focusing on the days immediately after Thanksgiving.

Good Food AZ Instagram Takeover

In support of Local First Arizona’s Buy Local Month, Good Food Finder AZ is hosting an Instagram Takeover to spread the local message. We are handing over our account for the entire month to showcase the dynamic array of good food endeavors that makes Arizona so fetching. It’s about creating a network and opening lines of communication for a stronger Localist community. We want to share a behind-the-scenes look at what some of our favorite local businesses are up to, and offer an insider’s guide to local gift sourcing.

CHANGE STARTS LOCALLY

The Localist community is a large network of like-minded individuals working towards establishing a new economy approach in the United States. “This is not a trendy pastime,” says LFA founder, Kimber Lanning, of the momentum sweeping the nation to go local. “Localism is an idea whose time has come.”
